PAN-AMERICAN JIGS
The PAN-AMERICAN mineral jig is one of the most efficient styles of CHEMICAL FREE recovery systems available.
A mineral jig is a compact and efficient gravity separation device that is utilized throughout the world for the recovery of a wide range of minerals.
As a gravity concentrator, the Mineral Jig range has many advantages such as high recovery, high unit throughput, low water consumption, simple operation, low installation cost, low operating costs and increased security.

PAN-AMERICAN style Jigs differ from other JIGs as the diaphragm is located under the machine directly below the jig material bed which provides a more equal distribution of water with each pulse of the machine. This increases recovery over other styles such as the “Denver” jig and various other “side-pulse” jigs as it lifts the material equally across the entire material bed. This style is also a bit more compact than some of the other styles.
Both the Square type and Circular type Jigs offer excellent recovery for lots of various minerals but the circular Jig does offer a slight increase in recovery over square type when used for diamonds/gemstones as it has a radial settling pattern which progressively slows the material as it spreads outward over the material bed, offering greater results.
The PAN-AMERICAN style Mineral Jig has successfully been used for a variety of minerals, including gold, sulfides, silver, platinum, tantalum, garnet and diamonds and various other valuable minerals.
Proven Excellent Recovery of greater than 98%
Jigs have improved alluvial recovery by 5% to 50% where they have been installed in existing operations.
Gold recovery has been in the 100-275 mesh size range with gemstones down to as small as 2mm.
Large Capacities
Jigs are self-cleaning and produce a continuous concentrate.
Production shutdowns for heavy mineral cleanup are not required.
Environmental Friendly Operation
No chemicals, using only water and a small energy source.
Low Hutch Water & Power Requirements
The Jig can operate with less water than other recovery systems.
It can operate effectively with pulp densities up to 40% solids by weight. By comparison, a sluice/riffle system works best
in the 10% solids range.
Jigs are Versatile
Jigs are used in placer and hard rock mining operations to recover gold, diamonds, platinum, rutile, and other heavy minerals. Circular jigs are widely used in recovering ferroalloys from slag (FeCr, FeMn, SiMn, FeV, Fe, steel, etc.)
Low Maintenance & Economical
With few moving parts, the Jig is extremely reliable and requires a minimal amount of maintenance.
